We target the grassroots by establishing BIN Zones across the major cities where BIN members reside and we currently have over 40 BIN zones spread across Lagos, Abuja, Enugu, Owerri, Porthacourt, Anambra, Akure, Ekiti, etc. Because of our unique structure, we can directly reach the downtrodden who are in desperate need of support.
OUR CORE ACTIVITIES
- We fight for victims of domestic abuse and work with our legal team to prosecute the abusers, accommodate the victims for a temporal period not exceeding One month and work with our partners (trained psychologists, employers of labor etc) to rehabilitate the women into the Society and make them independent.
- We support widows through our regular Widow empowerment programs and provide free scholarships to their wards, where the widows are unable to continue paying the school fees of their children.
WHO WE ARE
Be Inspired Empowerment Society of Nigeria is a registered not-for-profit organization with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC/IT/NO 131782). Otherwise referred to as Be Inspired Nigeria or BIN in all our social media handles, BIN was founded with the sole aim of empowering women particularly victims of domestic abuse, assisting under privileged children with food, shelter and scholarships.
BIN is made up of over 100k women spread across the country as well as BIN sisters in diaspora that align with the vision of the Society and support our mission.
Beyond our charity activities, Be Inspired Nigeria is a group for women where we share ideas, network and promote our businesses, inspire others through our success stories, imbibe a savings and investment culture through our BIN Cooperative Savings Scheme (now in its 3rd year) and support the members who are in need with free interest loans to start up their own businesses. As at June 2021, we have supported over 1500 women to establish their small scale businesses with our free interest ₦20,000, ₦50,000 and ₦100,000 business support loans.
Chioma Obaro, the Founder of Be Inspired Empowerment Society of Nigeria, is a passionate advocator for women upliftment and empowerment of the less privileged. Her passion to bring succor to the widows and orphaned children gave birth to this great society where she inspires other women (and men) to support the various corporal works of mercy particularly to feed the hungry, give drink to the thirsty, visit the sick and visit the imprisoned.
